This is an excellent course examining the preciousness and wonder of Grace. Grace is most definitely God’s empowering presence in our lives enabling us to fully represent Jesus, and live righteous lives.
We estimate that this course will cover up to 30 lessons.
Why is it that whenever someone presents Grace, there is the use of “disclaimer language” such as, “We want to present the subject of grace, but we also want to assure you that we’re not light on sin.” Why? Why do we assume that when we present Grace, we have to proclaim our desire for sin management? It’s as if we have bought into the view that Grace is weak or insufficient in being effective for righteousness. It’s a very faulty view of Grace.
The Protestant Reformation blessed us with a fresh view of Believers receiving a righteousness that comes exclusively through faith in Jesus. Good news indeed! However, these same Reformers downplayed the role of the Holy Spirit, and the power of God manifest in one’s life. Consequently, having Grace does not mean that there is a supernatural “Power-force” (Holy Spirit) operating within your life. One is saved (Justified) purely through a choice of will to believe in Jesus. This leaves Grace powerless to bring righteousness in us and in need of something else to reinforce it. Therefore, Law is brought in to “balance” a weak Grace. Never mind that the Apostle Paul states that “the law is not based on faith” (Gal 3:12) and “cannot lead to righteousness”. (Gal 2:16)
Grace needs to have its powerful reputation restored so it can be as effective as Paul suggests in 1 Cor 1:4-9).
There is much to learn, and we will have our confidence restored in Grace, the empowering presence of God.
Course to be released early November 2023..
